The International Seafarers’ Welfare Awards are organised by the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN). The awards recognise excellence in the provision of welfare services and facilities for seafarers.
The award categories are:
This award recognises the seafarers' centre that has done the most to provide high quality welfare services and facilities for visiting seafarers.
This award recognises the shipping company/ship management company that has done the most to provide the highest quality welfare services for seafarers.
This award recognises the port that has done the most for the provision of and access to high quality welfare services and facilities for seafarers.
Awarded to the person/organisation who, in the opinion of the judges, has made an outstanding contribution to seafarers’ welfare. This award can be self-nominated or nominated by seafarers or organisations and individuals involved with seafarers’ welfare.
